Sports proposed for 28th SEA Games 2015

Singapore: The Singapore 28th SEA Games Organising Committee has proposed 36 sports and 381 events for the 28th SEA Games to be held in Singapore from June 5-16, 2015. 

The initial 30 sports and number of events for each sport are as follows:

Aquatics: Swimming – 38 events, Diving – 8 events, Synchronized Swimming – 3 events, Water Polo – 2 events
Archery – 5 events
Athletics – 46 events
Badminton – 5 events
Basketball 2 events
Billiards & Snooker – 10 events
Tenpin Bowling – 10 events
Canoeing – 17 events
Road Cycling – 6 events
Fencing – 12 events
Football – 1 event
Gymnastics: Artistic Gymnastics – 14 events, Rhythmic Gymnastics – 2 events
Hockey – 2 events
Judo – 12 events
Netball – 1 event
Pencak Silat – 9 events
Rugby 7s – 2 events
Sailing – 20 events
Sepaktakraw – 5 events
Shooting – 26 events
Softball – 2 events
Squash – 4 events
Table Tennis – 7 events
Taekwondo – 15 events
Tennis – 4 events
Traditional Boat Race – 8 events
Triathlon – 2 events
Water Ski – 11 events
Wushu – 23 events.
The additional six sports and events are:
Petanque – 8 events
Floorball – 2 events
Boxing – 11 events
Equestrian – 4 events
Rowing – 18 events
Volleyball (Indoor) – 2 events
