Iran’s karate kid quartet heading for YOG

Tehran, Iran, July 4, 2018: Four karate kids from Iran have booked a place in the IOC’s 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this October, reports Iran NOC. The four - two female and two male - all won through from a YOG qualifying tournament in Croatia. They are: Fatemeh Khonakdar, Ali Reza Faraji, Navid Mohammadi and Mobina Heydari.

Mobina was the first to qualify and was followed on the last day of the tournament by the other three players, who were among five Iranian athletes battling for a spot at the YOG.
