Macau, China, July 30, 2019: The Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government, Fernando Chui Sai On, hosted a farewell ceremony for a group of young Macau athletes who will be competing at the 2nd National Youth Games in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi province.
The ceremony was held at Government HQ on Monday and the Chief Executive wished them all the best and said he hoped the athletes could produce their peak performance.
A total of 239 young athletes will be representing Macau and competing at the Games starting next Thursday and ending on August 18.
The athletes will be competing in badminton, boxing, cycling, swimming, tennis and other sports. The China National Youth Games is for athletes aged under 21 and is held every four years.
