Naypyitaw, Myanmar, July 19, 2019: Myanmar Olympic Committee celebrated Olympic Day 2019 with a mass hike attended by more than 11,000 people, plus a number of sports activities from June 16 to 30 across the country.
The Olympic Day Mass Hike was held on June 23 with 11,358 people taking part in the fun event. In addition to this, there were several sports events organised by the respective federations with more than 3,000 participants in the capital Naypyitaw, Yangon and Mandalay.
Cycling, hockey, table tennis, weightlifting, karate, judo, taekwondo, gymnastics, cricket and football were among a number of sports competitions held to mark Olympic Day. In addition, a cardio-exercise dance activity for the public was also held.
The two-week long Olympic Day celebration was attended by many government officials including Chief Ministers and Social Ministers from the various regions and states of Myanmar, the Secretary General of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, U Myo Hlaing, and Presidents of Sports Federations.
