Singapore: Organisers of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore have revealed the torch design of the Youth Olympic Flame. The flame will travel to one city in each of the five continents: Berlin (Germany), Dakar (Senegal), Mexico City (Mexico), Auckland (New Zealand) and Seoul (Republic of Korea).
At each city the Youth Olympic Flame will travel to iconic sights to allow as many people as possible to welcome the flame to the continent. The day will end with a city celebration where the people of the city and continent can join in the festivities to celebrate the world’s first Youth Olympic Games, which will take place from August 14-26 in Singapore.
Each National Olympic Committee of that continent will be invited to send two youth representatives to participate in a torch ceremony for each celebration city. Together with the people of the city and the continent, they will witness the lighting of the Youth Olympic Flame in the community cauldron at the city celebration.
