Beijing, China, July 18, 2019: The Chinese Olympic Committee will hold its 7th Youth Camp this November in a further bid to promote the Olympic values and cultural exchange. The 7th COC Youth Camp will take place in Beijing from November 3-8 and the invited NOCs are permitted to send two participants – one female and one male – aged between 18 and 35. “The purpose of the camp is to showcase the unique value, functions and impact of sports culture, enhance the exchanges and cooperation among NOCs and young people across the world and popularize the Olympic Movement through education,” said the COC Secretary General, Song Keqin. Since its founding in 2013, the COC Youth Camp has been successfully organised for six sessions, with over 200 participants from different NOCs. The camp will include lectures and group discussions, with each group making a presentation before the closing ceremony. There will also be sports activities, a venue tour and a cultural visit. The camp will open on November 4 and close on November 7 and will be conducted in English.
