Kuwait, May 13, 2019: The Olympic Council of Asia would like to remind its 45 National Olympic Committees that the deadline for taking part in the Asian Skateboarding Youth Camp in Nanjing, China in July is fast approaching.
The OCA is inviting all NOCs to send one female athlete, one male athlete and one coach to the youth camp, which is being organised by the OCA in conjunction with the IOC's Olympic Solidarity. The athletes must be no older than 18 by August 10, 2019.
Arrival date in Nanjing is July 28 and the camp will run from July 29 to August 9, with departure on August 9 or August 10.
The closing date for NOCs to register their athletes and coach is Friday, May 17.
Skateboarding was a spectacular success at the 18th Asian Games in co-host city Palembang, Indonesia, last year and will make its debut at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year.
The camp, which is part of the Asian Youth Development Project, will focus on the street and bowl disciplines of skateboarding.
