Held for the second year in a row, Emirati Child Day is a celebration to boost the physical, mental and psychological conditions of Emirati children with the view that they are the future generation that will carry the hopes and ambitions of the nation.
Mohammed bin Darwish, executive director of the UAE NOC, said: “The participation in this event reflects our keenness to communicate with all spectrums of the community. This day is dedicated for our boys and girls who are the source of joy and happiness in the life of all parents.”
Nine sports events including boxing and martial arts lessons as well as competitions were held at the Deyaar International School in Fujairah.
Darwish added that the celebration would help boost the self-confidence of the young children, stressing that “they deserve all kinds of material, moral and psychological support.”
