OCA IT experts delighted with Sapporo 2017 projects

Date : 29 Dec 2016

Sapporo, Japan, December 29, 2016: The 4th OCA IT Audit was held in Sapporo, Japan, from December 15-16. The auditors, Mr. Manuel Gonzalez and Mr. Alfonso Sanchez, reviewed the situation of the IT and Telecommunication projects. The auditors focused on the specific tasks to be accomplished at the conclusion of the pre-Games phase.

These included the review of the Integration and Homologation Tests; the details and schedule of the Installation and Venue Deployment Plans; the preparation of the Venue Operations Plan and other items like the training of the Venue Technology Manager and the performance of the final Technical Rehearsal. The OCA IT projects such as the TV Graphics and OCA Results Protocol were also part of the agenda.

Once again, organising committee SAWGOC has followed all the recommendations and suggestions highlighted in the previous audit.  The auditors felt satisfied with the final preparations, trusting in the success of the IT&T project. The OCA’s 8th Asian Winter Games will run from February 19-26 with around 31 National Olympic Committees competing in five sports, 11 disciplines and 64 events.
