A view of the participants who attended the Workshop on Sport for All held on 27th February 2014 at Level 2C, Wisma OCM. A record 125 sports people from all sector of the sports industry attended the Workshop.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: A workshop on the IOC guide to managing Sport for All programmes was organised on Thursday, February 27 at the Olympic Council of Malaysia Indoor Sports Complex, Wisma OCM, Kuala Lumpur, and attended by 122 participants. The keynote address was delivered by the OCM President, HRH Prince Tunku Imran, IOC member, who called on the participants to create, organise and manage their own distinctive Sport for All programmes and activities.

The other presentations included a briefing on the Move Malaysia programme by Tan Sri Dato’ Dr M. Jegathesan, Chairman of the Move Malaysia Task Force.

In the braining-storming session by the participants, about 20 interventions were recorded from the floor.

In other news from Malaysia:

*The 9th OCM Sports Goodwill Ambassadors annual gathering 2014 was held on March 1. Prof. Emeritus Datuk Dr. Alex Delilkan, a former national cricket captain and an OCM Hall of Fame inductee, presented a paper on sports injuries.

Over 30 members of the OCM Sports Goodwill Ambassadors, OCM council members and OCM office bearers attended the talk, after which OCM presented a souvenir and birthday cake to the professor to mark his 80th birthday on February 12.

*The Advanced Sport Management Course sponsored by Olympic Solidarity will be organised by OCM for the seventh year. The four sessions planned for 2014 are: March 21-23, May 15-18, August 21-24 and November 7-10. So far, 44 sports managers have graduated from this course and 14 more will graduate this year.
