Manama, Bahrain: GCC Women's Games hosts Bahrain took all three podium places in the bowling tournament singles event at Ozone Entertainment Centre at Sitra Mall on Sunday. Former Arab champion Noora Sultan put on a solid performance to clinch the title with 1,221 points, finishing ahead of Yasmine Akeel (1,066). Fatma Janahi (1,049) rounded off the top three.

Sixteen players from four GCC countries - Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Bahrain - each played six games to determine the overall champion. Sunday’s programme also featured three more sports competitions, as Bahrain took seven medals, including two gold, on the first day of the athletics for the disabled.
