Thais move into Sudirman Cup quarter-finals

Nanning, China, May 21, 2019: Thailand booked their place in the TOTAL BWF Sudirman Cup 2019 quarter-finals on Tuesday thanks to a come-from-behind 3-2 win against Russia.

Mixed doubles combination Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai defeated Evgenij Dremin and Evgenia Dimova 21-10, 21-11 to complete Thailand’s comeback after they fell 2-1 behind.

Sri Lanka 2019 Olympic Day Run to include coastal conservation programme

Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 22, 2019: The 2019 Olympic Day Run organised by the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka will be held on a grand scale and include a coral preservation programme.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 21, 2019: Battushig Batbold, First Vice President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee, has been reappointed as a member of the International Olympic Committee Marketing Commission.

The IOC last week announced the composition of its 27 commissions for 2019 and has once again included Battushig, Chef de Mission of Team Mongolia for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in its important Marketing Commission.
